| Under the direct supervision, performs advanced casework of considerable difficulty providing emotional support, information and services to crime victims.Employment with Yavapai County Government is contingent upon successfully passing a criminal background check and verification of work history, academic credentials, licenses and certifications, as applicable.

| MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: | |
| Manages a victim caseload of considerable difficulty and size according to division standards. (25%)
Educates and provides information to victims of crime concerning the criminal justice process, Victims’ Rights, and court room protocol in a language that is easily understood. (25%) Provides emotional support and advocacy to victims of crime during criminal investigations, criminal court proceedings, prosecutor and defense interviews or depositions. (20%) Acts as a liaison between the victim and the Criminal Justice System in order to facilitates communication that will result in a just resolution of the case. (15%) Performs needs assessments with victims’ and provide information and referrals to social service providers in order to address the victims’ physical and emotional needs. (10%) Performs other duties as needed or requested. (5%) |

| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: | |
| Experience: A minimum of 2 years work experience, preferably in criminal justice, counseling, or social services. Education: Relevant experience in the victim services field may be substituted for the aforementioned education. |
